Go to the theatre and see this. Seriously… go.
In all honesty, I love this movie franchise. It makes me happy. I love the action and suspense and special effects. It just makes my inner geek smile. I mean, who didn’t love Transformers when they were a kid?
Mark Wahlberg is a great addition to the cast. He plays a crazy inventor and father to Tessa, played by Nicola Peltz. He finds an old truck in an abandoned theatre and it turns out to be Optimus Prime. He and the other Autobots are in hiding because a secret arm of the CIA is hunting them down and destroying them (even though officially they are only after Decepticons). They end up on the run with Optimus after the government shows up at their farm and tries to kill them. They must work together to find out exactly what is going on and to get their lives back.
I really think that this movie was everything you want a Transformer movie to be.
